Heritage Seed Library Seeds (HSL)
We have seeds donated from the HSL including climbing french bean Kew Blue, tomato Queen of Hearts and Pea Latvian. Heritage Seed Library aims to conserve and make available vegetable varieties that are not widely available. The HSL maintains a collection, mainly of European varieties. Over the decades many varieties have been dropped from popular seed catalogues. Our collection contains many of these but also some landraces and a large number of family heirloom varieties that have never been in a catalogue. We are not a gene bank and all our collection, once we have enough seed will become available to our members.

Two Wild Food Walks with Andy Hamilton.
The co-author of The Selfsufficientish Bible. He writes a budget gardening column for Kitchen Garden a wild food column for flavour magazine and a outdoor column for the Bristol Magazine. He also works as a freelance features writer and has had articles published for the Guardian, the Ecologist, Home Farmer and Ethical Living. He has also appeared on BBC Breakfast, BBC inside out, BBC Politics Show, BBC Points West, BBC Inside out, ITV’s west tonight, RTE’s Baz’s Culture Clash and ARTE’s Global Magazine; radio appearances include R4’s the Today program, R4’s Farming Today, various times on Radio Bristol and other local stations.

Andy is part of co-operative that runs a coffee shop/second hand book shop called the Little Co-op in inner city Bristol.

He takes groups of people on wild food walks sharing his knowledge of edible wild foods, plant folk lore and herbal medicine He still finds time to work on this hugely popular website selfsufficientish.com that he co-created and helped launch his career.

Windmill Hill City Farm Garden Team
The Farm Garden Team and running a stall selling fruit bushes they have propogated plants that they have grown, there very effective comfrey juice fertilizer and some other things.

Eastside Roots Plant Stall
Eeatside Roots are bringing a selection of fruit trees fruit bushes herbs and seedlings and seed potatoes for sale to help support there community garden centre. Eastside Roots is creating a community gardening hub for Easton & the wider Bristol community, by renovating derelict land next to Stapleton Road train station & transforming it into a safe, social, positive, thriving green space & community resource. The green space at Trinity Centre is also being transformed into a flourishing garden with edible & flowering plants.

Garden Share Bristol
This is a local initiative linking up people who have an unused corner of their garden with local committed growers. The benefits for the garden owners include a share of the produce, the pleasure of seeing a lovely developing vegetable plot, and the sense of community in being part of a sharing initiative.
